Kolkata, 23rd August 2026: Valappan Creations is delighted to announce that its Malayalam feature film “Swalih”, produced by Shaju Valappan and directed by Siddik Paravoor, has been officially selected for screening at the Durgapur International Film Festival (DIFF) 2026.
The film will be screened at Nandan – 3, Kolkata, on 23rd August 2026 at 3:30 PM, in the presence of members of the film’s cast and crew.
A Film Rooted in Humanity
Swalih is a humanistic and socially conscious Malayalam feature that explores themes of compassion, dignity, faith and the complex realities of contemporary life.
Through deeply rooted characters and an emotionally engaging narrative, the film seeks to build bridges of understanding across cultures and communities. Rather than limiting itself to a particular region or language, Swalih explores universal human emotions and values that can resonate with audiences across geographical and cultural boundaries.
The film is produced under the banner of Valappan Creations, a production house committed to creating meaningful cinema that reflects social concerns, human relationships and universal values.

The selection of Swalih at Durgapur International Film Festival 2026 marks an important milestone in the film's festival journey.
