Shop Football Is Building India’s First Football Culture Apparel Brand

Football fandom in India has grown rapidly over the last decade, with millions of fans following clubs, leagues, and players from around the world. Yet despite this growing passion for the sport, everyday fashion inspired by football culture has largely remained limited to jerseys and traditional merchandise.

That gap is what led Maaz Siddiqui to launch Shop Football, a fashion label founded in

2021 with the aim of turning football culture into wearable everyday fashion.

Like many fans, Maaz’s relationship with football began with late-night matches, heated debates over players, and a deep emotional connection to the game. But he noticed that while jerseys were popular on match days, there were very few clothing options that allowed fans to express their love for football in daily life.

Shop Football was built around that insight.

The brand focuses on creating original football-inspired apparel, drawing from iconic moments, legendary players, and the nostalgia that surrounds the sport. Instead of relying only on club logos or standard merchandise, many of its designs reinterpret famous football memories through minimalist graphics, vintage aesthetics, and modern streetwear influences.

Built entirely bootstrapped, Shop Football has grown organically through its direct relationship with fans. Operating as a D2C brand allows the company to stay close to its community and continually evolve its collections based on fan feedback and football culture itself.

Another defining element of the brand is its authenticity. The company is run by football fans, and its storytelling, humour, and creative direction often reflect the emotions and inside jokes that exist within football communities.

While the inspiration behind the designs comes from the global game, the products themselves are made in India, with a focus on comfortable fabrics, quality construction, and durable prints.

For Maaz, Shop Football represents more than just apparel.

“Football is more than ninety minutes on the pitch,” he says. “It’s the memories, the rivalries, and the culture around it. We want fans to be able to carry that feeling with them every day.”

As football continues to grow in India, Shop Football aims to position itself at the intersection of football culture and lifestyle fashion, giving fans new ways to celebrate the game beyond the stadium.
